Description
Description
Once every twelve years, the hills of Tamil Nadu turn purple. The kurinji blooms, the mist settles over the slopes, and for a few weeks the whole world is lilac.
The body is a soft misty lilac that shifts between lavender and rose as the silk moves, scattered with small zari flower butis like kurinji blossoms. A wide deep purple border lined with gold zari stripes frames it.
The pallu deepens into rich purple, opening with a band of zari florals and fine patterned rows, then flowing into a lattice of zari diamonds that shimmers with every fold.
It is made for engagements, weddings, and the rare days worth waiting for, and made to be passed down one day.
