Description
Description
Every summer in Tamil Nadu, the konrai trees turn gold just as the naaval fruit ripens to deep purple. This saree holds both.
The body is a glowing golden yellow, scattered with zari flower butis that shimmer as the silk moves. A wide jamun purple border, lined with fine gold zari stripes, frames it with quiet richness.
Then comes the pallu. Where gold meets purple, a row of large woven mangoes rises along the edge. It opens into a pallu filled with bands of fine zari patterns, dense and glowing, the kind of detail that rewards a second look.
It is made for weddings, festivals, and celebrations in full sunlight, and made to be passed down one day.
